ATX Man Magazine held their launch party for the inaugural issue of the magazine at the Land Rover Dealership, Wednesday, June 1, 2011.  The event was a total see-and-be-scene event of Austin A-listers and a crowd of 300+.

FOOGS Goes Green with YNN-Segment to Air Saturday, June 4th

FOOGS, which stands for "For Our Own Goods," is an online gardening community based in Austin, Texas, which promotes and supports regular folks who want to grown their own food products.  Since becoming a client in 2010, they've got us growing at Pickie Pie, too.  In fact, the raised bed often used in media promotion in our backyard, was built by FOOGs.  It took a white-collared promoter and turned her into a green-thumbed gardener.

Green topics are very hot in the media right now.  Growing your own fruits and vegetables is inherently green.  Pickie Pie has secured several spots since 2010 with YNN's Go Green segment.  Most recently, we secured a green garden pest control segment on YNN, scheduled to air Saturday, June 4, 2011.

The White Party unofficially kicks off the summer party season in Austin, Texas, to a sold out crowd of more than 700 guys and gals dressed to impress in their best summer whites.

Fleming's has a new low-cal cocktail on the menu.  It's called the Mojita Bonita.

Prepared By Maeve Pesquera, Director of Wine

Serves 1

Ingredients

1 oz.    Stoli Vanil vodka

1 oz.    Pineapple juice

1 oz.    Monin sugar‐free vanilla syrup

1 oz.    Fresh lime juice

10        Fresh mint leaves

2 oz.    Club soda

Ice cubes

Directions

Place mint leaves and lime juice in glass. Use a muddler to bruise the mint leaves and release the mint oils. (Don’t over crush.) Place Stoli Vanil, pineapple juice, sugar‐free vanilla syrup and ice in a cocktail shaker and shake thoroughly. Pour into the glass with mint leaves and top with club soda. Garnish with mint sprig.

Two of our clients, Dagar's Catering and Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar ,are participating by serving up some yummy treats in the Tasting Grove.  Dagar's will serve sliders and homemade potato chips. Guests will be able to season their own chips with the flavoring of their choice.  Fleming's will serve a seared scallop with white cauliflower puree'!  Delicious.

A Nice Word from a Client

Rachel - Fleming's was mentioned again today in the STATESMAN in an article by foodwriter Mike Sutter about the owners of restaurants Wink and Zoot.  The context was the six degrees of separation in our industry. 

We have to believe that your efforts at PR and your initiatives at cultivating and maintaining relationships within the media community are paying off for us.  We seem to make the newspaper regularly, and we do not stand out by omission in articles as we often have in the past.

Fleming's & Rolls Royce

Austin now has a Rolls Royce dealership.  To celebrate, the owners threw a big party and Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar was there serving to their guests.

Chef Boyer Derise of the Domain Fleming's and Chef Erick Nixon of the Downtown Austin Fleming's served a delicious beef tenderloin on a crostini to this A-list crowd.  It was important to get Fleming's out in front of this key demographic of luxury car lovers, buyers and owners and Pickie Pie made that happen. Neiman Marcus was also there showing off a beautiful line of women's diamond jewelry.  Cars, diamonds and great food!  That's the good life!

 Pickie Pie secured a spot for Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar on KXAN's Tasty Thursday in March.

Chef Erick Nixon prepared a delicious ahi tuna appetizer.  

The Downtown Austin Fleming's turns 10 in June and Pickie Pie will be on board to  help them celebrate with a bang!
